Context

A magazine about tourism, food, culture and nature across the whole historical Basque Country — the seven provinces on both sides of the Pyrenees — with Basque put first.

The challenge

Publishing three articles a week in five languages with a single writer, while respecting place names specific to each language (Baiona, Bayonne, Bayona) and a strong visual identity.

What I did

MDX articles with frontmatter, per-language place-name dictionary, interactive SVG map of the provinces, typographic identity (Fraunces + Inter) and a compass-drawn lauburu logo. Static generation, hreflang and Schema.org.
